Bente Kooreman (The Netherlands, 1964) studied Fashion and Styling at the Academy of Arts in Utrecht, The Netherlands.

Shortly after moving to Curaçao in 1999 I started making colourful objects from the calabash found everywhere on the island. By now, the collection includes boxes, lamps, wind chimes, photo stands, bird feeders, incense stands etc.

Furthermore I also use paper mache to create colourful objects and fantasy animals. From shiny beads I create bracelets and hand bracelets.

Lately I added Japanese kanzashi flowers and crochet objects to my collection.
